Local Merchants Discount Program

1. The Local Merchants Discount Program provides employees of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, a list of local businesses that offer ongoing discounts on food, merchandise, entertainment and certain services.
   
   
2. The following types of services are excluded: real estate, financial planning/advising, estate planning, personal training, personal coaching, and professional services covered by the Hutchinson Center and the SCCA's employee medical and dental insurance plans.
   
   
3. Listing does not constitute the Center's or the SCCA's endorsement of the business and its services or products. The list is provided as a benefit to employees. All merchant requests for participation in the program will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are added or deleted from the list at the sole discretion of the Merchant Discount Review Committee.
   
   
4. How it works: A business can contact Human Resources to request participation in the program. The information about the business and the discount offered is forwarded to the Merchant Discount Review Committee for approval. Once approved, the na me of the business is added to the list. The list is maintained on the Center's Benefits web site. Special promotional offers may be announced in the Hutch For Sale Bulletin Board.
   
   
5. The Merchant Discount Review Committee shall be made up of two Human Resources staff and one Development Department staff.
