IRB Fees

FHCRC IRB charges a one time $2500 fee for review of industry sponsored research studies.  The $2500 review fee covers FHCRC and any other Cancer Consortium locations (UW, SCCA main campus, Seattle Children's) conducting the study. 

Effective September 1, 2012 - Additional performance sites for which the FHCRC IRB is the IRB of record will be charged $2500 per site conducting the study.

If you are conducting an industry sponsored research study, please build the one time IRB fee into your study start-up budget.  For those researchers whose budget is developed by Clinical Research Support or Division Administration please verify with them that the fee has been included and will automatically be deducted from your study budget. 

This fee is separate from the Protocol Office fee which may apply to research overseen by the FHCRC Protocol Office.

Studies administered through the FHCRC Protocol Office will have fees automatically billed to your study budget.  For industry sponsored studies not administered through the FHCRC Protocol Office please contact James Riddle, Asst. Director IRO at 667-6501 to make arrangements for billing. 

Industry Sponsored Study = a study that has financial support from a commercial company.  This includes studies that have been written by the commercial company or investigator.
