IRB Meeting Schedule

Meetings begin at 2:30pm.

The maximum number of new applications for full review per committee meeting is five. Applications will be considered in the order received.

Please note that the IRB submission deadline for new applications or modifications requiring full committee review is the Monday two weeks prior to the meeting week. This allows the IRO staff one week to review and prepare your application for the committee and one week for the committee members to review all materials in advance of the meeting.

Applications received after the deadline will be scheduled for the next available committee meeting. Exceptions to the submission deadline should be requested in writing from the PI. If requested, the IRO assistant director and the committee chair will always consider adding items received after the submission deadline to the agenda based on the following criteria: modifications to research relating to mitigating subject safety issues, modifications to therapeutic research to increase enrollment, new applications for therapeutic trials where subjects are waiting, and of course issues pressing to the Center (e.g. applications relating to stimulus package grants).

Clinical studies may be submitted to Committee A or B or C.

All HIV-related studies must be submitted to Committee B.

All behavioral studies must be submitted to Committee C.
